The Heroin Epidemic. Law enforcement can’t do it all -The abuse of heroin here at home and across the country has reached epidemic proportions and deaths due to heroin overdoses have reached an all-time high. Federal law enforcement is doing its part by identifying and arresting suppliers. Local law enforcement is doing its part, but more needs to be done to curb the demand.
